Life's Journey .... A Voyage of Time

Image
Life is not Linear and its graph is always marked with several ups and downs, each denoting a chapter in one's life. One should not get perturbed if he is going through a rough patch in his life, as nothing is permanent including time and a dark chapter in life has to come to an end sometime...... It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay though never quite eradicated. What is important is the zeal, self-confidence, belief and never to quit attitude to fight with evil no matter how big the evil may be.....

LIVE YOUR PASSION

Image
Far & away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work you loves to do. There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. One must aim big and try hard to achieve what he has aimed. For even if after all his efforts he does not achieve what he had aimed for initially, but even then he would have achieved substantially bigger, if not that big, but definitely quite big. If you are a scientist, think of becoming an Einstein, not merely a reader in your university. If you are an engineer, aim at some new invention. If you are a doctor think of some discovery which will bring some healing to the human race. THE MERE ACT OF AIMING AT SOMETHING BIG MAKES YOU BIG !! Every Hero, Every Achiever, Every Great Man has an origin story, story of his struggle, story of his dreams and how he achieved it inspite of various hurdles. The

"The Mahakali Caves" - KondiviteCaves @ Andheri (E)

Image
These are a group of 19 rock-cut monument built between 1st century BCE and 6th century CE. This Buddhist monastery consists of two groups of rock-cut #caves - 4 caves more to the north-west and 15 caves more to the south-east. The caves are located on a hill that overlooks the Jogeshwari - Vikhroli Link Road and the SEEPZ++ area. ASI is doing decent job of conservation as Caves are carved out of a solid black BasaltaRock, (volcanic trap breccias, prone to weathering). Albeit much needs to be desired regarding providing amenities, cleanliness and infrastructure so as to attract more tourists. Monuments like this have an important place in our history. It's our duty to play our part to protect these and restore our lost glory. However, it's a sorry state of affairs as far as how we Indians treat our heritage.

An Evening in #HarkiPauri

Image
Har Ki Pauri, famous #ghat on banks of the #Ganges in #Haridwar. "Har" means "Shiva" and "Pauri" means "steps". Lord #Shiva and Lord #Vishnu are believed to have visited the Brahmakund in Har Ki Pauri in the #Vedic times. Visiting the place one gets a feeling it to be a very chaotic. A large sea of people coming to visit the holy place, sounds of puja from nearby tamples, baggers chasing and asking money or some food, shops selling delicious street food and products - mostly religious. All this happening alongside the banks of holy Ganga in the narrow streets which make it very disordered. However, every chaos has an order hidden in it. And order here is SHIVA - the Power of Shiva is omnipresent here. So whether it's the pilgrims or the tourists, shopkeepers or baggers .... all do their bit not only to survive in this cruel world but also try to figure out the essence of life and in a process get realisation that the humanity is noth

#Thatyur to #Devalsari to #Aunter

When it comes to #Biking & #Trekking in Cricket parlons Test Match is the Doctor's Order. However, being a novice choose to do a 20-20 instead. So here I was ready to take a 25 Km biking & 2 Km of #Trekking in mostly rough terrain in the lower #Himalayas with my younger brother - surrounded by #nature, #mountains, sound of river flowing nearby, sound of wind amplified by tall #Deodar trees. If you are visiting this part of the world you should be prepared to leave most of the modern comforts behind & have the desire to head to the hills and get ‘back to nature’ (#backtonature). This is the place where you leave all hustle & bustle of city life, leave all noise & air pollution, leave all your tensions behind and devote yourself to #MotherNature. This is the place where you feel that the time has stopped. Visited Devalsari (a hidden paradise of umpteen variety of #Butterfly) & Aunter village .... Base camps of #NagTibba trek. These are the heavenly g

VISIT TO QUTB SHAHI HERITAGE PARK, HYDERABAD

Image
India is blessed with rich diversity. No other country in the world is as diverse as India. The spectacle of the spectrum of the Rainbow Culture of India is unmatched. Can't compare the two but just for the sake of drawing an analogy .... On the one hand these days we are witnessing the largest conglomerate of people at Prayag's Triveni Sangam - people coming from all over the world to take part in Ardha-Kumbh. Today was witness to another form of conglomeration of people at Qutb Shahi Heritage Park - a nano sized conglomerate of people belonging to different cast, religion, creed and from different countries. In Kumbh people go to learn about eternal truth, about reason of one's existence & to find solace. Whereas people have came to Qutb Shahi Heritage Park to learn about our rich past, about reason of rise and demise of great power that India was & to  satisfy one's inquisitiveness pertaining to history. Built in 16th & 17th Centuries Qutb S
